Wisconsin Community Media (WCM) has awarded JATV Media, Janesville's premier local access television station, an Award of Excellence, two Awards of Achievement, and four Awards of Merit!
The awards come as part of the 2026 Best of the Midwest Media Fest, where local media centers managed by local governments, school districts, colleges, and non-profit organizations are recognized for their hard work and dedication to providing quality programming for viewers.
JATV’s program “UW-Whitewater at Rock County Holiday Concert 2025” has received the WCM’s Award of Excellence. This award is bestowed on entries that demonstrate a highly creative, well-crafted and very effective approach to the subject matter.
The Programs “Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra 2025” and “Celebrating Women’s History Month” both received the WCM’s Award of Achievement. This award is given to programs that are well-crafted and effective in conveying their message.
“Park Place Views: October 2025”, “Loving Life Creatively with Lizzie Menz”, “Rock County Civics Academy: New Makers- Former Gov. Martin Schreiber”, and “Janesville Police Department Awards 2025” were all received Awards of Merit, which is given to programs that demonstrate a proficiency in their craft and a solid presentation of the subject matter.
Media Services Director Alan Luckett, Production Coordinator Tina Breeze Wahlers, and Media Producer Bujar Sadiku will receive the awards and be honored at the 2026 Midwest Media Fest Banquet and Show on Thursday, April 30.
