Beginning Thursday, April 9, a contractor working for the City of Janesville will be performing water main replacement and completing the associated restoration on W. Burbank Avenue and Pierce Street, as part of the City’s annual utility improvement program.

During construction, W. Burbank Avenue, from Pierce Street to Beloit Avenue, and Pierce Street, from the termini south of W. Burbank Avenue to the cul-de-sac north of Roosevelt Avenue, will be closed to through traffic. The roads are expected to remain closed until approximately mid-May.

Local access to driveways and businesses within the closure will generally be maintained.
