The City of Janesville Recreation Division, in partnership with Hedberg Public Library and the School District of Janesville, unveiled a new Spring StoryWalk® at the Robert O. Cook Memorial Arboretum (3550 W. Cty. Hwy. A)!

A StoryWalk® is a book that is presented page-by-page on signposts. The initiative aims to promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time in nature. This program has been made possible through a generous grant from American Family Insurance. 

The new springtime story is “Fairy Walk” by Gaia Cornwall. The book is laid out along the Jolyn Beeman Trail and reminds readers that there is always magic to be found in the woods.

Families who complete the StoryWalk on or before April 30 can submit a photo of their child or family reading and enjoying the StoryWalk to recreationmail@janesvillewi.gov to be entered into a drawing for a free family pool pass to Palmer or Rockport Pool.
