The City of Janesville is seeking community-minded individuals interested in serving on several important City committees. These volunteer opportunities are an excellent way for residents to get involved in their local government and help shape Janesville's future.
Current committee member vacancies include:

- One (1) seat on the Sustainable Janesville Committee
- One (1) seat on the Board of Review
- One (1) Alternate Member on the Board of Review

The Alcohol License Advisory Committee advises the City Council on applications for liquor and related licenses by reviewing all alcohol license applications, renewals, and amendments; and by providing a research source for drafting alcohol related ordinances and policies.
The Sustainable Janesville Committee advises the City Council and Administration on environmental sustainability initiatives. Members meet monthly on the third Tuesday of each month. The committee welcomes individuals with an interest in sustainability, project coordination experience, or a desire to learn from best practices in other communities.
