East Court Street from, South Main Street to Jackman Street, will close to through traffic beginning Monday, May 4.

A Contractor working for the City of Janesville will be making repairs to the E. Court Street concrete pavement at various locations between S. Parker Drive and S. Atwood Avenue. The road will remain closed for approximately two weeks. The Rock County Courthouse public parking lots and the S. Wisconsin Street parking lot will remain accessible from St. Lawrence Avenue.

The closure of East Court Street will require detours for Janesville Transit routes: 1: Milton, 7: Nightside Milton, 5: Milwaukee, and the 22: Milwaukee Special PM.

For the outbound trips from the Downtown Transit Center at 123 River Street, the routes will follow River Street north to east on E. Milwaukee Street, to northeast on Milton Ave.  At Milton Ave/E. Milwaukee St. the 1: Milton and 7: Nightside Milton will resume regular routing. The 5: Milwaukee will follow E. Centerway Street east to E. Milwaukee Street northeast, to resume regular routing. 

The 1: Milton, 7: Nightside Milton, and the 5: Milwaukee routes will follow regular routing inbound on E. Milwaukee St.

The 22: Milwaukee Special Route will follow River St. to E. Milwaukee St., to Milton Ave, to E. Centerway St., to N. Garfield Ave., to resume regular route.  Riders who wish to disembark on E. Court St. should alternatively disembark on E. Milwaukee St. or N. Garfield Ave.
