Beginning Thursday, June 11, Lapham Street, from S. Oakhill Avenue to S. Pine Street, and S. Pine Street, from Lapham Street to W. State Street, will be closed to through traffic. The road is expected to remain closed until approximately early August.

Contractors working for the City of Janesville will be performing utility improvements, replacing curb and gutter, and reconstructing the pavement on Lapham Street and S. Pine Street as part of the annual utility and street rehabilitation program.

Local access to driveways within the closure, including the Van Buren Elementary School parking lot, will generally be maintained. Questions regarding the closure or the work can be directed to the City of Janesville Engineering Division at (608) 755-3169.
