The City of Janesville Recreation Division, in partnership with Hedberg Public Library and the School District of Janesville, unveiled a new Spring StoryWalk® at the Robert O. Cook Memorial Arboretum (3550 W. Cty. Hwy. A)!
A StoryWalk® is a book that is presented page-by-page on signposts. The initiative aims to promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time in nature. This program has been made possible through a generous grant from American Family Insurance.
The new springtime story is “When Night Comes Calling” written by Cynthia Schumerth and Illustrated by Sheryl Murray. The book is laid out along the Jolyn Beeman Trail and showcasing the awe-inspiring wonders that take place in the natural world when most people are sleeping.
