Beginning Monday, July 27, Putnam Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Elliott Street and W. Delavan Drive. This closure is expected to remain in place until late October. State Street, which intersects Putnam Avenue, will remain open to through traffic throughout the project.

During this period, contractors working for the City of Janesville will complete utility upgrades, replace the curb and gutter, and reconstruct the pavement as part of the City’s annual utility and street rehabilitation program.

Access to local driveways within the project area will generally be maintained throughout construction.
