Brad Reents began his career as a Project Engineer for a Madison-based consulting firm in 2006. While working in the private sector, he also held the positions of Municipal Project Manager and Team Leader, supervising public infrastructure projects and working closely with public agencies. Reents joined the City of Janesville in June 2019 as Assistant City Engineer. During his time in that role, he assisted in planning and overseeing various operations and projects in the Engineering Division. He was the City's Project Manager for the Milwaukee Street Bridge project, which the American Public Works Association (APWA)-Wisconsin Chapter recognized as its 2021 Project of the Year. He also acted as the Accreditation Manager for the Department of Public Works, leading the City to have the first APWA accredited agency in the state. In May 2022, Reents was named City Engineer. 

Reents received his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He holds the credential of Licensed Professional Engineer and is an active member of the APWA-Wisconsin Chapter, previously serving as the organization's Membership Services Chair.
