Jimsi began as the Economic Development Director in May 2022. Prior to this role, she most recently served as Executive Director of the City of Converse Economic Development Corporation in Converse, Texas. In that role, Kuborn managed the corporation's strategic plans, initiatives, grants, and incentive programs. She also completed a complete overhaul of the organization's processes, systems, data usage, website, and software. Notable achievements from Kuborn's tenure in Converse include generating $63 million in new capital investment and securing approximately 500 new jobs for the community between 2019 and 2021.

Kuborn received her bachelor’s degree in Merchandising from Northern Illinois University. Before her role in Converse, Texas, she served as Vice President of Investor Relations at the Rockford Area Economic Development Council in Rockford, Illinois, and Director of Marketing and PR for the Chicago Opera Theater in Chicago, Illinois. Kuborn comes to Janesville with an impressive track record of community involvement, which includes serving as Chair of the SATX Regional Partnership and membership in the International Economic Development Council, the Urban Land Institute, and the Alamo Area Council of Government.
