Dave Godek was hired at the City of Janesville in November of 2007 as the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer. In June of 2015, he was promoted to City Clerk-Treasurer. In May of 2021, he was promoted to Finance Director after serving in that role on an interim basis for four months. Before working at the City of Janesville, Godek worked as an auditor at WipFli, LLP. He received his undergraduate at Bradley University in Political Science and Psychology with his masters at UW-Whitewater in Accounting.
