The C.I.T. program is for adolescents between the ages of 13 to 15 (as of June 10) who have a strong desire to work with children and who want to assist counselors at any of our camp facilities.
Applicants must be dependable, able to help the counselors, and assist as a leader, rather than a “camper”. There will be a brief training on Wednesday, May 27 at 4:15 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers (18 N. Jackson Street, 4th floor). C.I.T. applications are available online or can be picked up at the Janesville Recreation Division office and must be returned along with a letter of interest and a reference letter from a non-relative.
The cost is $30 per session for Kids Count Camp and $15 per session for Camp Tot Lot. Applications are due Friday, May 1, space is limited so apply early.
