Kids Count Camp-JFD 2022Kids Count Camp (otherwise known as KCC) is an all day, all summer long camp that offers a variety of activities for your child. The program is for youth ages 5 to 12 and features:

  • Games & Fun Activities
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Camper Choice Days (bike, fish, craft, sport)
  • Weekly Swimming at Rockport Pool (if open) or Riverside Splash Pad
  • Water/Science Fun Activities
  • Field Trip Each Session (subject to change)

Camp is held Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Recreation Division also provides daily before (7 to 9 a.m.) and after (4 to 5:30 p.m.) care for campers. Camp is held at the Palmer Park East Pavilion, except Tuesdays take place at the Peace Park (or Riverside North) Pavilion. Register at least 1 week prior to the start of each session or a $20 (Tuesday prior) or $40 (Friday prior) late fee is charged (if there are still spots available at this time). Space is limited, so it is recommended to register your child early for the program as sessions may fill weeks before start date (registration opened February 2). The cost is $300 (only $150/Week) per two-week session, and $195 per one-week session. Session 1 is prorated to $210 for both weeks and starts on a Thursday. Session 1, Week 1 (6/11-6/12) is prorated to $78. Bring a lunch each day!

Attend Meet the Counselors on June 3 from 5:30 p.m. at Palmer Park East Pavilion to hear an important presentation on camp procedures, rules, and general information on our Kids Count Camp and Summer Send-Off. Also, receive parent handbooks and session calendars, while meeting your child's summer camp counselors.

*This is camp the week after Kids Count Camp on August 17-21, where campers will have a wide variety of fun planned, with no field trip and very limited space available. Camp takes place at Palmer Park East Pavilion.
