This race is the perfect opportunity for beginner athletes to celebrate health, fitness, and self-confidence through a 40m swim in Rockport Pool (note: 11-12-year-olds will swim 80m), a 2.5-mile bike around Rockport Park, and a 0.5-mile run on a paved trail. The triathlon is for kids ages 7 to 12. This event is not structured as a highly competitive race, but awards will be given to the fastest finishers in each age group!

The triathlon is made possible through the partnership of Velocity Multi-Sport and Cycling, Gold Sponsorship of Michael's Cycles, and Silver Sponsorship of Janesville Velo Club. 

T-shirt Deadline: Register by August 13 to receive a shirt upon check in. Racers registered after August 13 can pick up a shirt from the Recreation office after race day.

Registration will be capped at 150 athletes. If our minimum athletes of 50 is not reached by August 3, then the event will be cancelled. No on-site registration.

Packet Pick-Up is on Friday, August 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Rockport Pool Admission Window. The Transition Clinic will be held during Packet Pick Up on Friday, August 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Rockport Pool and the Q&A will be held after Packet Pick Up from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; please register if you are interested in attending. Racers are free to attend both or just one. Please bring your gear including your bike, helmet, swimsuit, shoes, and whatever else you have. You will be able to get in the pool, ride through the course, and run the path. Attendance is not mandatory, but is encouraged and free. 2nd Annual Race the Gator Fun Run: This short race is for children 2-6 years old running the final stretch of the triathlon course. Parents and strollers are welcome. The race starts at 8:45 a.m. No need to register, but only racers who do, and pay a $20 add on fee will receive a shirt and finisher medal.
