The Janesville Police Department was first awarded Certificate of Accreditation in May 2000 by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG), and most recently reaccredited in May 2023. The accreditation recognizes that Janesville's police department exemplifies the best professional practices in the conduct of its responsibilities.
