Any demolition work to a building in the City of Janesville requires a demolition permit. Commercial properties or residential buildings with five or more dwelling units if asbestos is being removed prior to demolition requires a Notice of Demolition DNR form #4500-113 to be completed and submitted to the Building Division with the demolition permit. Asbestos remediation must be completed prior to any demolition work being conducted under the demolition permit issued by the City of Janesville. Proof of DNR approval will be required prior to issuance of the demolition permit.
