Tires may not be disposed of with waste at the sanitary landfill.
Only Janesville residents can dispose of tires within the designated drop-off area at the sanitary landfill.
Large quantity generators cannot be accommodated and are advised to contact local area recycling companies to explore their collection options.
Please check in at the landfill office, where you will be directed to the correct drop-off area.

A maximum of 20 tires per day applies.
The City contracts to have tires brought into the sanitary landfill shredded and then marketed for use as a fuel supplement to coal. Fees charged cover the cost of processing.
