The Janesville Water Utility is providing information to the public showing the material of the Public and Private side water service material for each property currently being served by the Water Utility.

The Public side material is defined as the water service from the water main in the street to the stop box in the terrace.

The Private side material is defined as the water service from the stop box in the terrace to the meter in the basement.

We are providing this information to comply with the Federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions that are effective as of October 16, 2024.

We used all available information to compile this list, which includes: Plumbing record cards, in-house inspections, and excavations to determine the pipe material.
